Christ, just found out today I'm going back to India a week on saturday for 3 weeks to a month! Having a bit of time in Dubai on the way as well, exciting! A little bit pissed off that I'm hardly going to be there for my first month in my new Apartment though, and I have to cancel everything that would have been going on otherwise.Current Mood:  energetic Current Music: Telly |

Yo all, it's been a while like. I've been busy and haven't really felt the need to LJ about anything, despite the fact my rollercoaster of a personal life has been very busy recently!
Anyway, I just spoke to my perspective new flatmate for the first time. He's called Andrew, seems a really nice guy. The flooring/carpets are being fitted in the flat on wednesday afternoon/evening so I'm going to have a look on thursday night. Watch this space! I'm back in the UK! Just sat in the business class lounge at Heathrow now waiting for my flight back up to Manc. That's not 'til 3.20 which is a bit of an annoyance, but it's only a very short flight once I get up in the air.
Flight from India to here was pretty good, over 11 hours but I managed to sleep for a large part of that so it went by really quickly. Also means I'm not stupidly jetlagged or anything which I thought I would be.
Pics of India to come at some point over the weekend if I get time.

Hello from Bangalore, India!
Today has been good, my flight landed at 4:45am local time, by the time I'd got to the hotel, checked in and unpacked it was 6:30am. I got a few hours sleep then got a taxi to the office at about 12:20pm. The traffic here is horrendous (I don't think there are any traffic laws!) so even though it's not that far, it took an hour and a half to get to the office. Had a good afternoon there, met up with Raj and Danesh and a few of the other guys I trained over in the UK, along with about 35 new faces who are actually going to be doing the job over here. Did a presentation for them, then had a few meetings etc...
Left the office at about 5:30pm, got back to the hotel at 6:45pm. Came up to my room and freshened up for a bit, then headed down for dinner at 7:30pm. It was quite possibly the best food I've ever had. Freshly cooked world cuisine, mainly from Asia, absolutely beautiful. There was even a man who made Naan and 'flying' bread from scratch right in front of you! Now I'm sat in this amazing bedroom browsing the net on the wi-fi!

This is the official first LJ post on my new MacBook, yey. I'm very happy with it. I've spent all the time since I got home from work tonight getting all the applications I need and setting it all up how I want it. It's perfect, mmm.
Also, I spent most of the last 3 days with Steph, which was nice. She's still not entirely sure how she feels about us getting more involved, but I've told her that I'm enjoying what we're doing right now and whatever she eventually decides she wants, she'll always be a special friend to me.

Absolute bargain! I just want it to come as soon as possible now, it'll be tuesday I reckon because they didn't dispatch it yesterday.

Didn't get the SIM job, gutted. The only reason they can't offer me the job is because I haven't worked for the company for 12 months though, which is pretty positive! They want me to apply again in the summer when I have been there for 12 months and I'll have a very good chance of getting the job. Cool.
Also, I think Steph's kinda broken down her barrier and decided to embrace me. This is good! She's been texting and phoning me a lot and she seems all loved up and stuff. She's off work all next week so I've booked a day or two off and we're going to have a nice couple of days together, I really can't wait! If this works out now I'll be the happiest guy in the world, it's taken a long time coming but it's so worth it now it's here.
